Nap tracker

A nap tracker that remembers what was playing.

Naps are short, unpredictable and easy to forget to log. Baby Sleep Noise: Womb Sounds makes it one tap — Start nap — and saves the length, the sound that was playing and how your baby woke, so you can see patterns without keeping a notebook.

Sleep insights from logged nights: average sleep stretch, night wakings, the sound that lined up with longer sleep, and a hearing safety reminder

Logging a nap

On the Sleep screen, switch from Night to Nap and tap Start nap. Start a sound at the same time if you use one — pink noise at a low level is a common choice for daytime. When your baby wakes, tap to end. The nap joins the log with its duration and the mix that was playing, tagged as a nap so it does not blur into night totals.

Why link naps to sounds?

Daytime sleep is where sound choices show up fastest. A nursery is noisier by day, and a 30-minute nap versus a 90-minute one is a big difference. After a week the Sleep insights screen can tell you which sound lined up with longer stretches, in plain sentences drawn from your own logs.

  • Naps and nights logged separately
  • Duration, wakings and mood per session
  • The sound or saved mix that was playing
  • Weekly insights grounded in what you tracked

A timer built for naps

Pair the nap log with the sleep timer: 30 or 45 minutes with a 5-minute fade covers most naps and lets the room go quiet gently rather than all at once. Every sound soft-starts over two seconds, so pressing play at the end of the wind-down does not startle.

BabySleep is a sound and tracking tool for parents, not a medical device. Nothing on this page is medical advice; if you are worried about your baby’s sleep or health, talk to a pediatric professional.

Frequently asked questions

Can I log a nap after it happened?

The log is designed around live one-tap sessions. You can end a running session at any time, and each entry shows its start time and length.

Does the nap tracker suggest nap times or wake windows?

No. The app logs what happened and reports patterns from your own entries; it does not prescribe schedules, and it is not medical advice.

Do I need Premium to track naps?

No. Logging nights and naps is part of the free plan with one baby profile.
