Logging a night
Open Sleep and tap Start night. A timer runs while your baby sleeps, alongside whatever sound is playing. If they wake, tap Baby woke; add a night waking and carry on or end the session. In the morning, note how your baby seemed — a single mood tap — and the night is saved with its duration, wakings, mood and sound.
That last part is the point. Because the log knows what was playing, a week of nights becomes evidence: brown noise lined up with longer stretches, or the lullaby mix did not.

Sleep insights from your own logs
The Sleep insights screen turns the log into a few plain sentences: average sleep stretch across your sessions, wakings across the week, the sound that lined up with longer stretches, and how mornings have felt lately. Everything is grounded in the nights you tracked, not in generic advice, and it stays on your device when you use the app as a guest.

Does the tracker need an account?
No. You can use it as a guest with data kept on the device. Sign in if you want your babies, favorites and logs synced across devices.
Does it track sleep automatically?
No — it is a one-tap manual log, by design. Automatic detection would need the phone in or near the crib, which the app’s hearing-safety guidance advises against.
